Miss Jones Returns to NYC Radio

The legendary Miss Jones back in radio after 15 years

It is an exciting time on the radio. The Queen is returning and we couldn’t be more on board for it. Miss Jones will be returning to New York radio as the new morning show host on ‘94.7 The Block’ WWXBK. The station features classic hip-hop and R&B. Jones will be returning to radio each and every weekday from 6 am-10 am on August 22.

Miss Jones , born Tarsha, is originally from Queens and was a former R&B artist. Most know her by her hit song ‘Where I Wanna Be Boy’. She began her radio career as part of the “Star and Buc Wild” morning show on Hot 97. Back in the 90s, Jones was known for her juicy and hot takes on entertainment news and did not hold her tongue while conducting interviews. She was then compared to Wendy Williams and Howard Stern. After leaving Hot 97 she moved on to the former ‘103.9 The Beat’ WPHI in Philadelphia with co-host, Michael Shawn. Then the pair moved to mornings at ‘Hot 97’ in 2004 for four years. The duo then moved on to ‘Power 99’ WUSL Philadelphia. Jones was there from 2009-2011.

So, fans are wondering what are we in for? Whatever it is we are all ears and waiting. Jones told the daily news that she was excited to be back and it feels as if she is being thrown a party that didn’t have a plan for her.

Congratulations are in order and we are very happy to give it. We look forward to whatever comes.
