Nicki Minaj Announces Title and Release Date for Highly Anticipated Album: Out in October!

Nicki Minaj has recently announced that her highly anticipated new album, Pink Friday 2, will now be released on November 17. The original release date was set for October. This marks the first time in five years, since the release of her 2018 album “Queen,” that Minaj has provided a specific release date for her upcoming project.

“I love you guys so much,” wrote on Instagram. “I am so grateful for the years of support & love you guys have given me. At times maybe I didn’t even deserve all that you have poured into me. Nonetheless, you. will. love. this. album. I will give tour deets closer to that time, but obviously the tour will start around the first quarter of 2024. I’ll also share the REAL album cover at a later date.”

The album follows the successful streaming release of her 2009 mixtape, “Beam Me Up Scotty,” in 2021, which included the new track “Seeing Green” featuring Drake and Lil Wayne. In 2020, Minaj achieved her first-ever No. 1 single with the remix of Doja Cat’s “Say So.” The following year, she dropped the single “Super Freaky Girl,” which sampled Rick James and made her the first solo female rapper to debut at the top of the Billboard singles chart since Ms. Lauryn Hill. Additionally, Minaj received the prestigious Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMAs in 2022.

Throughout this year, Nicki Minaj has been steadily releasing new music, including tracks like “Red Ruby da Sleeze,” a collaboration with Ice Spice titled “Princess Diana,” and the exciting collaboration “Pound Town 2” with Sexyy Red. These releases have further heightened the anticipation among fans for her upcoming album.
